Welcome to my blog Wealthy Healthy Life.
One day I’d like to write a book, so instead of talking about it, I’m getting on with it. I have started writing this blog on lessons learned, my first-hand experiences and successes that I think are worthwhile sharing.
I have had many interesting experiences in my life, good and bad, but always enjoyed life and luckily have a loving family. I started out with a science degree, moved into management, had a go as an entrepreneur, loved it but made no money, then back into corporate into marketing and running a business.
I am no stranger to the internet having established a few websites over the years, mostly around my passions mountain biking and Land Rovers. But this is my first proper blog.
My philosophy in life is Healthy Mind Wealthy Life
For me, a healthy mind is the start and comes from having a positive can-do outlook on life. Being motivated to take ownership of your life no matter how it turns out. My experience is that once you acknowledge and own it, then you can start to steer it and achieve your dreams. It took me a while to work this out but my lessons in life are teaching me this.
That’s a good start to a wealthy life, but wait there is more.
Wealthy life can mean many things to many people. For me, it means having the freedom to spend your time how you choose and do whatever you want to. In my mind to achieve that wealthy life you need to have a healthy body and financial freedom.
An active lifestyle and love for adventure sports have given me a healthy body, but as you get older the challenge gets bigger.
Financial freedom, on the other hand, that’s another story, nowhere near it at this stage but I have a plan and it is working. Had I started sooner I would have been typing this from under a palm tree on my personal island.
So you can look forward to my experiences in finding my path in life. I track my progress as I chase #FIRE2028 (financial independence to retire early). I may be a late starter burt as they say, better late than never.
That path is littered with self-reflection, personal growth, motivation, frugal lifestyle, understanding personal finance and investing to grow wealth and other random lifehacks that nobody taught us at school.
You can also find me on Twitter @wealthyhealthyl sharing this journey and on Instagram and youtube sharing my passions.
